Messe Basel, together with the area surrounding Badischer Bahnhof, forms a major subcenter of Basel. The Rosentalturm strengthens the integration of residential, commercial, and green spaces with a focus on social and environmental sustainability. The placement of the tower, the linear building, and the pavilion creates a new public green space that extends the Rosental park. Over 400 apartments are planned to accommodate diverse lifestyles, including family-friendly units at affordable rents. Ground-floor zones provide space for local businesses, startups, and neighborhood amenities, bringing vitality to Kleinbasel year-round. The tower, with its stepped volumes, creates terraces and communal spaces featuring rainwater irrigation. A sustainable energy and materials concept featuring photovoltaics, geothermal probes, heat pumps, recycled concrete, and wood-hybrid construction ensures a resource-efficient, flexible, and circular building approach.
